Bug Fixes Weapons
Every tool on the field, from the intended katana to the testing-phase musket.
Bug Fixes does not have an armory. It has a hotbar with two slots and whatever testing videos have shown so far. Slot 1 is fist. Slot 2 is katana. The wakizashi from the Highborn pass sits in the same slot as a backup copy of your katana. Muskets and shinobi tools showed up in public clips without an official slot assignment. This page documents every weapon the field has shown so far, what binds they use or might use, and how to fit them into a loadout without pretending a teaser is a tier-1 loadout.
Pair this with the loadouts page for how to arrange these on the field, stances for how to use the katana after you draw it, and how to fight for the cut that follows the weapon choice. The controls guide is the bind reference card.
Katana — the intended weapon
The katana is Bug Fixes. Slot 2, directional cuts on E Q F, stance change on R, and the entire melee system built by captainwoodlegs. Every other weapon on this page is either a backup, a teaser, or a joke. The katana is the argument.
What the field reads: a player who drew steel and intends to use it. A katana on the field means you are here to directional-cut, not to farm armor or film. The loadouts page ranks katana-plus-habit as S-tier, and that ranking has not changed since launch.
What the description calls it: the game does not name the katana in the bind card. It just says E Q F for cuts. Community and clips call the slot 2 blade a katana. Until the description names it, treat katana as the community name for the slot 2 sword.
Draw and sheath: X. The same key bows and sheathes. Practice the timing so you do not accidentally drop steel mid-exchange. Controls covers the conflict.
Fist — slot 1 exists
Slot 1 is fist. It is not a joke weapon in the sense that you can win a duel with it, but it is a statement about intent. A player who stays on fist in a serious duel is either making a point about honor, running a wood-stick training session, or does not have a katana yet.
The tier list puts fist-only as B-tier and notes that it is a statement, not a plan. If you spawn and the katana is missing from your hotbar, fist is your slot 2 until you rejoin.
The loadouts page notes that fist exists as a way to bow-fight without looking like you are refusing to draw. Some honor sessions start with both players on fist before X draws steel.
Wakizashi — Highborn backup
The wakizashi is a short sword that comes from the Highborn game pass (50 Robux) or from the in-game shrine for one life. It is not a separate slot. It spawns alongside your katana and cannot be dual-wielded. The pass text is explicit: you are not strong enough to dual wield these, but you can rely on this in an emergency.
What that means in practice: if your katana breaks or you need a quick backup without sheathing, the wakizashi is there. It is a short sword, which means the range is shorter than a katana. Use it as an emergency gap-closer or a finishing tool, not as a primary moveset.
The Highborn page has the full explanation of the pass, the shrine route, and why you cannot run two blades at once. The loadouts page ranks the wakizashi as A-tier backup and notes that a shrine one-life sword is a story for that life, not a class change.
Musket — testing-phase formation tool
Muskets showed up in public testing videos as rows of red-kabuto players holding long firearms in the cherry field. Community clips show them labeled as unit formations, with players facing the same direction and occasionally firing volleys. The HUD in those clips still shows fist and katana slots, which means the musket does not have an official hotbar slot yet.
The gun teaser page has the full clip breakdown. This page is the weapon entry: muskets are real enough to appear in winning screenshots, not real enough to assign a bind or rank as a tier-1 loadout.
Practical notes from clips: muskets appear to be a formation weapon, not a dueling weapon. A musket line controls a lane; an individual musket in a 1v1 is a different game from katana. If you are in a line, face the same way as the row. If you are fighting a line, displace on G to the flank rather than trading mid-lane.
What is still unknown: spawn method, reload bind, whether they are a permanent addition or a test. Check updates and patch notes after any place update.
Shinobi tools — teaser equipment
Testing videos show several items associated with the shinobi silhouette: a shuriken prop on the arm, a star-shaped throwable, and sometimes a low crouch or different stance. None of these have documented binds, spawn methods, or confirmed slot assignments.
The classes page covers the shinobi as a class teaser. This page is the weapon entry: shinobi tools are equipment that may arrive as a dedicated kit in a future patch. Until a patch names a shuriken slot or a crouch mechanic, treat them as silhouette context, not as weapons you can reliably spawn and use.
Do not buy a shinobi outfit expecting it to change your hotbar. A dark wrap on a katana player is still running E Q F. A script that promises shinobi abilities is running universals, not a game feature.
Weapons and the tier list
The tier list ranks weapons by how they fit into the intended melee system, not by raw damage or rarity. A fist player who understands stances can beat a katana masher. A musket line in the wrong terrain is D-tier even with red kabuto. The weapon is a tool; the tier is how the player uses the tool.
Current ranking from the tier list: katana S, katana-plus-armor S, musket line A (formation value), wakizashi backup A, fist-only B, shinobi teaser B (kit incomplete), cinematic mode D.
What is not a weapon
Hats: the = bind removes headwear for silhouette, not for a weapon swap. See hats.
Scripts: executors can spawn visual items that look like weapons but are not documented game features. See scripts for why universals are a separate warning.
Codes: there are no promo codes that grant weapons. The codes hub stays empty. Do not type katana into chat expecting loot.
Practical weapon kit
- Spawn with fist on slot 1, katana on slot 2.
- Draw katana on X only when you intend to cut.
- If you bought Highborn, your wakizashi backs up the katana on the same draw.
- If muskets appear in your server, treat the line as a formation, not a 1v1 opponent.
- If a shinobi silhouette appears with tools you cannot replicate, watch the updates hub for a patch that makes the teaser a kit.
- If your katana is missing on spawn, rejoin once. If it persists, file a report on the official place page, not on this wiki.
The katana is still the game. Everything else is context.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What weapons are available in Bug Fixes?
The confirmed weapons are fist (slot 1) and katana (slot 2). Wakizashi comes from the Highborn pass or shrine. Muskets and shinobi tools appear in testing videos but are not officially documented.
Can I dual wield katana and wakizashi?
No. The Highborn pass explicitly says you are not strong enough to dual wield. The wakizashi is an emergency backup, not a second moveset.
How do I use the musket?
No official bind is documented for muskets. They appear in testing videos as formation weapons. Until a patch assigns a slot, treat them as experimental content.
What is the shuriken in the shinobi teaser?
Testing videos show a shuriken prop on the shinobi silhouette. No spawn method or bind is documented. It may arrive as part of a dedicated shinobi kit in a future patch.
Are there codes for weapons?
No. The codes hub is empty. There are no documented promo strings that grant katanas, wakizashis, or any other weapon.
